waynesville club last Friday at the
regular weekly meeting in the (lin
ing room of the Methodist church.
In his address to the ciub Mr.
Phillips pointed out the advantages
of Rotary, and what had been accom
plished during the years that Ro
tary has been in existence.
During the course of his address.
Mr- Phillpis went into detail of the
change of ideals of man. "Several
years ago wP believed in live and let
Hve. But today we have changed that
and now we are striving to uphold
the. ideal of live and help live.
"This point of helping the other
man live has been one of Rotary's
objectives throughout the years. The
government has recently realized that
it must take a hand in the affairs of
the citizens, and b everything pos
sible to carry out ju:-t what Rotary
has long sought to put into force.

After the usual meeting hour. Mr.
Phillips met with the board of direc
tors of the club and discussed several
piojeets which the club is working
on for the betterment of -the commu
nity. Definite announcement will be
made soon alniut these projects. One
important project committee is about
ready to make their report. Mr. Phil
lips was told.

J. F- Shelton. of 'the Dellwood com
munity, reported last 'week that a
formation of rink bad been found
on bis property that expert, nssay
isls in Colorado said contained a rich
amount of gold, silver aluminum, and
zinc.
Another sample of the ore has been
sent for further analysis, and it is
expected that this report would be
received within the next few days.
Mr. Shelton has already contracted
with other parties, to. mine the ore
if the report shows that it Would be
profitable. All interested in the
project are enthusiastic over the
prospects.
