In a ceremony of striking beauty
-Miss Barbara Mueller.-ehoen, of New
York and Durham, was united in
marriage to Dr. Julius C. Sader, of
New lork City, on Thursday alter
noon, at the First Baptist church.
Dr. E. M. Lightfoot, of Cameron, S.
C, a beloved former pastor of the
church, and life-long friend of the
bride's parents, performed the cere
mony in the same chutch.
The church was effective-lv arrang
ed in quantities of wild flowers, with
Queen Ann's lace predominating.
Advantageously placed were candle
!ra with lighted cathedral candles,
making an appropriate setting for
the impit ssive tercmony.
Prior to the taking of the vows
a musical progiam was given by Miss
Grace (.'rocker, organist, and Mis.
Walter B. CoimacK, cousin of the
bride, id" Columbia, South Carolina,
soloist, Miss Crocker frave the
following numbers: "Adoration by
Rorowski, "Sunset Meditation" by
Biggs, and "Ich Ue.be Dich, by
Grieg,. Mis. Cormack, accompanied
by Miss Crocker, sang, "Believe Me

time of her marriage she was pathol
ogist in the laboratories of St. John's
Hospital in Brooklyn, N. Y.

AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY
HOLDS MEETING
The Waynesville unit of the Amei
ican Legion Auxiliary, met on Mon
day afternoon at the home of the
president, Mrs, E. B. Camp. The
meeting was opened with the
vancing of the colois, following
pie ige to the flag, after which
members were led in prayer by
chaplain. After the minuted, the officers
committee chairman, gave reports

ativt to the proposed work of the
organization were read. The depart
ment convention, which will be held
in fayetteville on August the 4.

gate, with Mrs. E. B. Camp, as the

ING AT HOME OF MRS HYATT
On Friday afternoon, Mrs. Will
Hyatt and Mrs. George Plott were
associate hostesses, at the home of
the former, for the regular meeting
of the Haywood Chapter of the United
Daughters of the Coni ieracy. Mrs.
O. R. Martin, president, presided.
A report was given regarding the
benefit bridge party, recently given
at the Hotel Waynesville, by the chap
ter. The treasurer was instructed to
send half of the proceeds to the
Waynesville Public L.oiary.
Donations to the following state
funds were voted upon: the L. H.
Ravines Memorial, the Educational
Fund, and a motion was made to
clear up all state obligations tor the
year.
Mrs. J. Harden Howell, delegate
to the district meeting recently held
at the George Vandertdlt Hotel, in
Asheville, gave detailed report of the
occasion.
Mrs. James V. Killian and a party
of friends were Asheville visitors on
Friday.
Mi. and Mrs. Albert Jackson, of
