Presbyterian Women Meet On Tuesday The annual meeting of the Woman's Auxiliary of the Ptesbyterian ihurch, was held on Tuesday afternoon in the Sunday school rooms of the church. At this time Mrs. L. M. Rioheson made a talk on the life of the late Dr. R. P. Smith, who was the first secretary of the Home MHssum work of the Asheville PresbyU'ry, and who served in that capacity for thirty two consecutive years. Dr. JSmith was also the founder of the BUuk Moun tain Orphanage. Great Britain's apparent desire to negotiate a new European peace treaty may be the factor whic.h will determine which way the scales of international re lations will tip. Interpretation placed on the speech of Anthony Eden, British foreign secretary, indi cated that Britain would play the role of inter mediary between France and Germany in the crisis caused by Adolf Hitler's action in remilitarizing the Rhineland.
