They have been operating this popular re-j-ort and commercial hotel for the past ten years. This season they were attracted to Western North Carolina, and selected Waynesville as the most promising location in this section. They plan to operate the 'Lodge on the American and European plan at moderate rates. Good food will be featured in the dining room, with a variety of unusual dishes not served in hotels in this section. He declined to make a defi nite statement as to whether or not he will enter the senatorial race in Uo.. Travel In Nation Reaches High Peak It has been estimated that more than 10.000,000 persons this year will "sight see" the cities and country of North America. Nearly 3,000,006 will ride in streamlined sight-seeing buses and spend upwards of $6,000,000. A fleet of more than 5,000 parlor coaches guided by trained lecturers will care for many sight seers this year. Now that business is on the up grade it is revealed by travel agencies that never in the history of this country has as much travel been anticipated as this year. Rats Stop Sales At Liquor Store Wilmington. Rats have stopped the sale of legal liquor in Onslow county's liquor store at Richlands. The rodents recently made a feast of the fed era.1 tax stamps on the liquor bottles and sale of liquor in thofce bottles has been stopped by the de partment of internal revenue. Raymond D. Christman,, deputy col. lector of internal revnue here, will visit the store this week and make some arrangements which will enable the store to dispose of the damaged bottles, he said.
