George, ford, of New Orleans, which took place at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. Mark Richards, of Pasadena on Wednesday, June the first, at nine o'clock in the morning, with only the family and intimate friends attending. The Rev. Richards, who is pastor of the First Iiaptist church of Pas adena, proiuiuced the marriage vows, which were made before an impro vised altar of ferns and roses. Prior to the ceremony Mrs. Richards, vio linist, rendered a program of pre nup tial music, which Included "Land berry Air," an old Irish melody, "Liebestraum," by Listz, "Wiegen lied," bv Brahms, and "Oh Love That Will Not Le Me (Jo," by Peace. The bride wore a becoming gown of white ('hantilly lace with blue acces sories, and her flowers were a bouquet of sweetheart roses and cape jasmine. She was attended by her sister, Miss Vera Clarke as maid of honor. Mrs. Alford is the daughter. of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Clarke, who formerly resided at their home on the Dell wood road. She was graduated from the Waynesville High School in the class of l!t"5, and since moving to Texas with her family, has continued lier education in the Pasadena schools. The groom is the son of Mrs. Bessie Alford and the late I). P. Alford, of New Orleans. He was educated in the city schools of New Orleans, and later attended the Franklington school. He was a member of the air corps at Harksdale Field and af terwards spent two years in Central America. He now holds a position with the Houston division of the Champion Paper and Fibre Company. Following the ceremony the young couple left for the Rio Grand Valley on a wedding trip, and upon their re turn will reside in the Bishop Apart ments in Pasadena. Miss Adoia Rayne left during the week for New York City, where she attended the commencement at the Finch Junior College, where her niece, Miss Josephine Holtzclaw, of Rich mond, Vu., and Waynesville, is a student. From New York Mrs. Rayne and Miss Holtzclaw will go to Rich mond where hey will visit the parents or the latter, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Holtzclaw. .
