Gudger, of Asheville, make the keynote address of the day, with Lewis P. Hamlin, of Brevard, acting as chairman. The group of about 60 adopted a resolution, after hearing Burke Fer guson, of Cullowhee, sophomore, and recognized orator of the Young. Re publican organization. Representatives from the counties spoke briefly. The resolution, in part, was: "That in the first place our party sew, Mr. Jennings MeCrary, Mrs. Sam Noland. "And believing in the rule of all! the people, expressed by a majority, after u free untranimeled recording of their individual wills in all and each of their votes, hereby state that our stand and position s a pnrty is that the good of the country rises above party, and Americanism and individualism ahead of partisanship.
