A committee was named to meet Santa at the train at 10:83 on Sat urday, December third, and to escort him over the community before going to his igloo where he will give out bags of candy and other goodies to till children. Jack Messer, county superintend ent of education, announced yester day that he and Santa had about completed a schedule for the fat old man from the North Pole to person ally visit every school in the county, and talk to the- children. It is not likely that Santa will carry candy to the schools with him, because the children would cat it before recess, but when Santa talked over long distance to The Mountaineer last night, he. promised to give each child in the schools he visits a card which he will exchange at his igloo later for a bag of candy. At his igloo, he will have a largo mail box to receive letters from all children. Santa's voice sounded like he was tired, and when this reporter asked if he was, he replied: "Yes, a little. You see 1 have been working hard all year, in order that I could get away from here early and spend a nhort vacation in Waynesville before my ha id night's work on Christmas Eve. Hut you tell all the children that I'm loaded down with toys for those who have been good, and want sill of them to be patient, and come to see me in Waynesville, on Saturday, December third."
