BRIDE OF LAST WEEK
Mrs. T. Grady Boyd was hostess on
Thursday of a beautifully appointed
luncheon as a courtesy to Miss Helen
Siski whose marriage to George
Scott took place last Saturday.
The table was covered with a hand
some cloth and centered with a bowl
of yellow flowers. Those invited to
the affair were: Miss Helen Sisk, Mrs.
C. N. Sisk, Miss Mildred Crawford,
Miss Jewel Hipps, Mis John M.
Queen, Jr., Miss Marietta Way, Mrs.
William Prevost, and Mrs. Ralph

Sisk and George Musgrave Scott, of

Mrs. Chas. Ferguson, of Philadel
phia, has arrived to spend sometime
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jarvis
Coman, at Lake Junaluska. Dr. Fer
guson, U. S. Navy, has been assign
ed to sea duty, in foreign waters, and
Mrs. Ferguson will spend the time
with her parents.

another daughter, Mrs. Francis Pat
terson, of Rocky Mount, were the
guests over the week-end of Mrs.

EULA MAE THRIFT RETURNS
TO HOME IN DETROIT
Miss Eula Mae Thrift, who has
been a student for the past three
years in the Waynesville Township
High School, left during the week
for her home in Detroit. She has
been active in all phases of the high
school, and was voted the most pop
ular member of the graduating class.
Mr. and Mrs. Grady Boyd and
young son, Tommy Boyd, attended
the meeting of the Eastern Fox
Hunters Association, which was held
in Newport, Tenn., during the week.
Mrs. J. B. Thompson, of Orlando,
Fla., who has spent several summers
in this section, and with her husband
had the management for a few years
of the Parkway Hotel, was in town
on Tuesday.
Mrs. W. K. Chandler has as her
guest at her home on Woolsey
Heights, her sister-in-law, Mrs. W. E.
Young, of Flat Rock.

Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Terrell, who
have been occupying the former res
idence of Mr. W. T. Lee, at the corner
of Walnut and Branner Avenues are
now residing in the Woolsey home on
Woolsey Heights.
