Tulips were used as a decora tive note on the long table at which the guests were seated. Follow ing the serving of dinner the guests went to the home of Mrs. Collins where several progres sions of contract were enjoyed, with the high and low winners presented prizes. Bischof f Honors Visitor With Luncheon' Mrs. George Bischoff was host ess of a luncheon yesterday at the Gordon Hotel as a courtesy to Mrs. Frank Conklin, of Philadelphia, who with her husband and small son are spending several days here at the Waynesville Country Club The guests were seated at one long table which was centered with an arrangement of white flowers with white and green accentuat ing the other party appointments. Prizes were given the winners of top scores and also to the guest of honor and to Mrs. John Allen, of Burlington, Vt., who is visiting her parents here. T. con- Home Demonstration Club of Maggie Holds April Meeting ' Mas Mary Margaret Smith, coun ty home agent, gave an interesting demonstration on "Making a Bet ter Dress" at the April meeting of the Maggie home demonstration club which met during the past week with Mrs. C. L. White and Mrs. W. D. White as associate hostesses at the home of the form er. ": ' Mrs. Dave Plott read a paper on ''Home Management," and five of the club leaders gave re ports of their work. One new member, Mrs. Albert Maye was received into the club. During the recreation period a "Magazine Safety" contest was held with Mrs. Walter Plott win ning the prize. Huggin, Jr. and Miss Nancy Killian associate hostesses. The meeting combined the rear- ular April gathering of the club with the annual tea the members give in honor of the Junior Music Club, of which Miss Grace Crocker is councillor. Miss Crocker served as accom panist of the afternoon with the following program being rendered: paper read by Billy Parham. of Asheville, member of the Hamilton Junior Music Club of that city, on "Music in the Home;" a patri otic trio by Cornelia, Eleanor and Mary Kice Whiting, of Canton. Also a piano duo by Louise Mar tin and Miss Crocker. MacBlain, entertained a group of young friends on Saturday, after noon in observance of the ninth birthday anniversary of their young daughter, Alethea. The guests attended the attrac tion at the Park Theater after which they returned to the rectory where numerous games were en joyed.
