": - Hazelwood Star Leads Industrial League Batters , Joe Scruggs Hits .567 Mark i For First Seven Gaines Of Season. Joe Scruggs of Hazelwood is set ting: the batting pace in the Indus trial, baseball league with a .567 mark, according to averages re leased recently by Secretary Jim Williamson. The Hazelwood hitter, for the first seven games of the 21-game season, obtained 17 hits in 30 official trips to the plate to top tihe loop. Seven pitchers in the league have 1-0 records, but the real lead er is Enka's W, Case, with three wins and one loss. Hazelwood's club is leading in team batting with a .348 mark, while Enka's .955 average tops the loop in team fielding. Following are the averages for the first seven games, with the batting marked including only those with a .250 or better percen age, and who have been at bat 10 or more times.
