Morgan, of Durham, were the

gan, parents of the former's hus
band, Dr. Morgan. From here they
returned to Durham, but will
shortly leave for Washington, D.
C, to join Dr. Morgan, who is a
lieutenant in the Naval Reserve,
and is now located in the capital.
Mrs. O. T. Alexander, who is
now making her home in Charlotte,
is spending a week or so here with
friends. She was the guest of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Abel for sev
eral days and is now visiting Mr.
and Mrs. W. L. Hardin.

Saturday for a visit to the latter's
sister, Mrs. Odin Beull, in Buell
ton, Calif. En route they will stop
in Denver, Salt Lake City and other
places. They will also stop for a
brief visit with Mr. Campbell's
sister in Newport, Oregon. From
there they will travel down the
Pacific coast to San Francisco and
Los Angeles and then to Buellton.

for Savannah to join Lt. Stentz, U.
S. Air Corps, who is now stationed
there on duty.

Bad Storm In 6 Weeks
Kansas City had its second bad
storm in six days this week. Three
were killed and 125 injured. The tor
nado damaged hundreds of homes.
30 Traffic Deaths
In Sept. In 50 Counties
Thirty were killed in traffic ac
cidents in the 50 western counties
of North Carolina during Septem
