Blalock, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Blalock. were married in a quiet ceremony at the home of the groom's parents, on Tuesday evening, June 2ith at U o'clock. Rev. J. M. Woodard, pas tor of the Hazelwood Baptist church performed the ceremony. Toe ring ceremony was used. Only families of the bride and groom were pres ent. The couple entered toge'.hei un attended. The bride wore a white woolen suit and blue blouse with matching accessories, her halo hat was trimmed with veiling, and her coi-sage was of pink roses. The bride is a graduate of Way nesville high school. She is now attt tiding the school of nursing at General Hospital, Tennessee. Lt. Blalock is a graduate of the local school and Wanton's Business t ollege. Before entering the ser- ice he was associated with his father in the mica business. Lt. Blalock is now stationed at Pyote. Miss Jimmy Bradley Becomes Bride Of Harold Leatherwood Mi-, and Mrs. Arthur Bradley, of Maggie, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Jimmy Bradley, to Harold Leather wood, of Waynesville and Newport News, Vu. The marriage took place on Sat urday afternoon, July the old, at 5 o'clock in Clayton. Ga. Mr. Leatherwood has been em ployed by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Coni nany. For the present the young couple will reside with the bride's parents. Mr. And Mrs. Jim Milner Return From California Jimniie Milner, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Milner, of Hazelwood,! has returned from Glendale, Calif., where he has been for the past year taking special technical train-' ing from which he graduated with I high honors. He and his wife, the former Miss Nancv Fisher, of Canton, are re-, siding with his parents until he is called in the Air Corps. Miss -Emily Siler, who is con nected with the Red Cross chapter at Rockingham, arrived on Monday to spend a fortnight here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Siler. Mrs. Robt. Foskey Honored By Friends At Dinner Mrs. Robert Foskey. of Los An gela, the former Miss Josephine Davis, of Waynesville, was the honor guest of a dinner party on Thursday evening. Hostesses of the affair were Mrs. George Craig, Mrs. Fred Campbell. Mrs. Ralph Knsley and Mrs. J. J. Ferguson. The affair was given in the apart ment of Mrs. Craig.
