Wryatt The people of Dayton Rubber know that they owe a great debt to their fighting comrades in the Armed Forces, names are listed on this page. It is a debt which we intend to pay now before the War Department tells of casualties and grimly reminds us of our duty to help shorten this war by every possible minute. So, like every one in Western North Carolina, we intend to tighten our belts and buy extra War Bonds now because our work and self-denial cannot begin to equal the high cost of living on the red beaches of France, Italy or the South Pacific. We will spare money, invest it today, to spare a soldier's life tomorrow. We will help bring our fighting men back sooner to a city which offers them jobs and post war opportunities. We will, through the cooperation of the resourceful and independent people of Western North Carolina, continue our search for new improvement in mechanical rubber pro ducts, and their manufacture solve the problem of post war conversion.
