four years ago the first plant in America exclusively de
signed and built for the manufacture of goods from syn
thetic rubber.
A nd because Dayton Rubber Technicians dared to keep
looking ahead to the development and perfection of new
and more useful products of Technical Excellence in syn
thetic rubber the workers in this plant can look forward
to a future filled with the promise of all-car production
and employment in peacetime.
To achieve this promise will not be easy. Coin ersion from
present manufacture of such products as pontoons and oxy-,
gen hose for our Armed Forces; radiator hose, also Special
Dayton V-lielts for the Textile Industry to normal and
continuing peacetime production will be fraught with many
difficult problems.
These problems must be met and solved. All-year pro-'
duction and employment mtlst become a reality.
