After a separate busi ness session of each group, they will hold a joint social session and have their annual Christmas party. Carver, Haywood farmer, who died at his home in the Thickety section near Clyde at 9:30 a. m. Saturday. Rev. W. C. Cockmen and Rev. Mr. Barnes, pastor of the church officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are his widow, the for mer Miss Janie Griffith; three sons, Fred Carver of Clyde, Arvel Carv er of Canton, R.F.D. No. 1 and Willie Carver of Clyde, R.F.D. No. 1; and one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Odum of Elk Mountain; 32 grand children and five great grandchil dren. Thomas Milliard Deaver Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Bethel Baptist Church for Thomas Hilliard Deaver, 71, native of Haywood county, who died in the Haywood County Hospital at 6:30 a. m. Mrs. de Lait, who was a well known musician here, having serv ed as organist in the Presbyterian church here at one time, resided in Waynesville for several years.
