March 25. in Canton, for Mrs. Adgie Hen derson, 88. widow of Will Hender son, of Canton, who died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Jeter P. Williams, Sunday. Rev. Ray Roberts officiated. Mrs. Henderson, a life-long res ident of the Beaverdam section, is survived by three sons, Charles ind Lester Henderson, both of Canton, and Grover Henderson, of Gastonia; three daughters, Mrs. T. M. HESTER MESSER Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Cove Creek Baptist church for Mrs. Hester Messer, 60, wife of Rufus Messer, who died at the Haywood County hospital at 6:00 p. m. Friday, following a short ill ness. Rev. Ben Fugate and Rev. E. H. Dennis officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were, Pless Kirk patrick, Coburn Pressley. F. C. Rathbone, Alonzo Rathbone, Claud Deaver, Zimmery Reece. Mrs. Messer was a native of Hay wood county and resided in the Cove Creek section of the county. Surviving are her husband: three sons. The main business of the evening centered around discussions on ways and means of raising money to linance a club house for the organization. Announcement was made that the Belle Meade Club House had been leased by the organization and that square dances would be held regularly each Wednesday and Saturday nights until June 1st. Plans were made to organize a soft ball team and join the local league. S. Navy Personnel Separation Center, Charleston, South Carolina. He en ered the service on Octo ler 25, ,943, and has served for 29 months in tlie service, 18 of which were spent on sea duty.
