and heating, electrical work, and
the general work separately) on a
straight firm bid for the contract
to furnish all labor and materials
for a complete construction job for
the work bid on, the contractor
to furnish all labor and materials
at his own expense, together with
all other expenses incidental to the
construction thereof.
2. The licensed contractor may
offer the proposal or bid in all of
the above named methods.
Plans and specifications of the
proposed work and the supplies,
materials and equipment may be
had at any time after date hereof
at the Office of Lindsay Rl. Gudger,
Architect, at 52 Carter Street, Tele
phone 1118, Asheville; North Carolina.
All bids or proposals shall be
sealed and accompanied by a cash
deposit or a certified check on some
bank or trust company authorized
to do business in this State in an
amount equal to not less than two
per cent, of the proposal or bid.
The sealed proposals or bids
shall be delivered to George A.'
Brown, Jr., Chairman of the Board
of Commissioners, at Waynesville.
North Carolina, not later than 4:00
P. M. Thursday, August 18, 1947
which said bids will be publicly
opened in the Commissioners Room
in the Courthouse at Waynesville.

The Board of Commissioners and
the School Trustees reserve the
right to reject any and all bids or
proposals.
If the Board -of Commissioners
and the School Trustees accept any
proposal or bid, then the success
ful contractor, or contractors, snail
give bond as provided by law for
the faithful performance of the
contract which bond shall be in
writing and meet the requirements
of the laws of North Carolina and
the approval of the Commissioners
and the Trustees.
This notice is eiven pursuant to
the general statutes of 'North Caro
lina and a Dublic local or private
law enacted at the session of the
General Assembly of North Caro
lina in 1947. which Act enabled the
Board of Commissioners of Hay
wood County and the Trustees of
Canton Graded School District to
construct said building on a cost
basis plus commission.
