Tournament To Be Played Feb. 23-28; Girls During March 8-13 Dates for the 13th Western North Carolina Invitational Gold Medal basketball tournament for high school' teams, sponsored annually by Canton high school, was an nounced last week by Couch C. C. Poindextes. The boys' tournament will be played the week of February 23- 28, and the girls' tournament is slated for the week of March 8-13. Tiler-dates are being announced this far in advance so that W. N. C. coaches who plan to participate can avoid, conflicts when making up their schedules. Invitations are being mailed out now.
