September 12, at 4 o'clock j The Rev. Paul Durkwall, pastor, ; officiated using the double ring ceremony. The altar was banked with ever-j greens, centered with a white satin wedding bell. Floor candelabra holding white tapers and floor stan- i dards of white gladioli were also1 used and the pews were marked I with white satin bows. 1 Prior to the ceremony a program , of wedding music was presented by ; Miss Peggy McCracken, organist, and Lowery Ferguson, Jr., soloist, j Miss MeCraeken played "Ava Ma ria," "Liebestrauni," and "Ah, j Sweet Mystery of Life," and Mr. Ferguson sang, "Because," and "The Sweetest Story Kver Told " The traditional wedding marches were used and during the taking of the vows Miss MeCraeken play ed "To A Wild Rose." Mr. Fergu son sang "The Lord's Prayer" as a benediction. The bride, who was given in mar riage by her father, wore a suit of winter white gabardine with navy blue aecesosries. She carried a white prayer book topped with an orchid and showered with satin ribbons and gypsophila. Her only ornament was a lavaliere, which her mother had worn at her wed ding. Mrs. Alna Hyatt, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor and wore a suit of forest green gabar dine with matching accessories. She carried a colonial boquet of yellow roses. Alna Hyatt, brother of the bride groom, was best man, and the ush ers were: Howard Dotson, brother of the bride, Lowe Allen and Lucius Allen, brothers-in-law of the bride groom. The bride is a graduate of 1 lie Waynesville Township high school and attended High Point college. The bridegroom is also a graduate of the local high school and holds a position with the Unagusta Man ufacturing company.
