Another feature of the meeting was a report on the state P.T.A. institute held in Greensboro this summer by Miss Helen Smathers, who was a delegate from the Morn ing Star School where she is a member of the teaching stall. A banner for the largest number of mothers present was awarded to Mrs. Frances Ratcliffe's first grade and Miss Betty Bass" 11th grade received a banner for having the highest percent of mothers present for a single high school room.
