II Corinthians b:ii-j:i.
Scripture Act 15:56-18:2?; I Corinthians 5:9-6:20;
After staying at Antioch for some days,
Paul and Barnabas decided to visit the
cities where they , had made converts.
Barnabas wanted to take John Mark
with them; Paul did not,- so they sepa
rated, Barnabas taking John and Paul,
- . '.Silas,- -
Coming to Troas In their travels, Paul
had a vision In the night of a man who
begged him to "Come over into Mace

companions, -thinking this was .word
from God, went to Phllippl, chief Mace
donian city.
At Phllippl, Paul ; and his companions ,
made many converts, but envious Jews
took them before, the magistrates and
they were beaten; and imprisoned.: An
earthquake liberated them," lwvever,"
their Jailer was baptised, and after com
forting their brethren, yiey departed.
From Phllippl Paul, went to Thessalonica
where he and Silas wen. aken Nefore
a magistrate who released them; then
to Athens, where Paul preached the
gospel on Mars Hill; and thence to
Corinth, a pagan city.
