N. C, Employment Office Hero Has New Staff Man A. A. Whitehead last Monday started work as supervising mttT viewer in the WaynesvlUe office of the Employment Security Com mission of North Carolina. Whitehead, a World War II Army veteran, and a graduate "of the University of Ohio, has been with the state agency for more than three years. He was assigned here to replace Howard Wells, who was transferr ed, effective February 16 to the Commission office at Rutherford- ton. ' Wells served as an Interviewer here since December 1946. The meeting with 15 members attending, was called to order by acting president Gene W Messer, with Marcene Lqwe serving as secretary. Virginia Ledford was elected as the new reporter. Mr. and Mrs. Boring gave out project blanks to be filled in by each member of the club. The members gave the pledge to the flag, and Song leader Gene Messer led the group In singing.
