Mrs. John N. Shoolbred and her
twin sister. Mrs. Horace Frostv
held open house on Sunday at the
residence of Mrs., Shoolbred, in
celebration of -their eighty-fourth
birthday anniversary. . .
They were assisted in entertain
ing by Mrs. Shooltarrd's grand
daughter, Mrs, William 1. Long of
Raleigh, arid friends Were invited
to tall during the afternoon and
evening hours.

gifts of friends. In the dining
room the table was centered with

ing callers.

cray, daughters of the late Col.
and Mrs. Charles Toncray of Eliza
bethton, Tennessee.
Mrs. Shoolbred has made her
. home in WaynesviUe for more than
forty years having moved here
with her husband, the late Mr.
Shoolbred.
Mrs. Frost made her home In
Elizabethton following her mar
riage but has spent most of her
time here with her sister since the
death of her husband a few years
ago.

club's reading program.
The demonstration on decorat
ing ideas for the home was given
by Miss Mary Cornwell.
