Sunday morning at the home in
Old Fort following a short Illness.
A son of the late Mr, and Mrs.
David Christopher of Haywood
County, he was formerly employed
at Champion Paper and Fibre
Company. He was a veteran of the
Spanish-American War and had
lived in Old Fort for the past 12
years.
Funeral services will be held in
the First Baptist Church at Can
ton Wednesday at 3;30 p.m. with
the Rev. Horace Smith, pastor, and
the Rev. C. E. Westmoreland, pas
tor of the Chuich of God of Can
ton, "officiating. Burial will be in
Locust Field Cemetery.
Graveside rites will be conducted
by members of the Canton post of
Veterans of Foreign Wars and pall
bearers will also be from the veter

Surviving are the widow, Mrs.
Lizzie Arrington Chistophcr; four
daughters, Mrs. John Miller of

on the Dellwood Road, Sunday afternoon.

Rev. Georse Mehaffey officiated
and interment was in Davis Ceme
tery on Cove Creek.
Pallbearers were, Boone, Claude,
Lee and Roscoe Davis. Davis
Brookohire, and Howard Smith.
Mr. Davis was a native and life
long resident of Haywood County.
Surviving are the mother, Mrs.
Martha Noland Davis; three broth
ers. Charlie, Allen, and Wade Davis
of Waypesville, Rsute 2; and two
sisters, Ms, Molly Brookshire of
Hazelwood and Mrs. Finlcy Smith
