Prior to Suhday the 4-H mem bers and their parents had cleaned the church grounds and decorated it with flowers. The theme "For A Better Rural Community" was presented by the following 4-H Club members: Statement of the purpose of 4H Club Sunday-LMie Jane Sanford. The Scripture was read by Adeline Best; The Home Makes A Better Community Jewel Dee Ferguson; The 4H makes a Better Community Bonnie Sue Justice; The Church Makes a Better Community Bobby Jean Brad shaw. The Crabtree-Iron Duff Method ist Youth Fellowship will-hike to Utah Mountain Sunday evening leaving the church at five o'clock. Clyde CDP Organized On Tuesday North Clyde last Tuesday night joined Haywood County's Com munity Development Program fam ily, giving the county its 25th or ganized rural area. Residents of the community who nearly filled the Clyde High School auditorium launched their organi zation by electing their principal officers. For their first chairman they named Glenn W. Brown, young Clyde attorney. Crawford Sanford was elected vice-chairman; Ralph Miller, treas urer; Mrs. Roland Leatherwood, secretary; and Mrs, Levi Morgan, reporter. They'll name their special com mittees at their hext meeting, which was set for, 7:30 p.m. June 12 at the Clyde School. : The lineup of the Community Development Program organiza tions, in addition to North Clyde, now shows: Ratcliffe Cove Francis Cove, Stamey Cove, Center Pigeon, East Pigeon, West Pigeon, Iron Duff. ON FSB ALL VOTER (An Official Statement From The Haywood Board Elections) Mrs. Geo. Moody Dies In Knoxville After Illness Mrs. Lona Howell Moody, 78 wife of George W. Moody of Knox ville, Tenn., died at her home Fri day, May 19, after a long illness. Mrs. Moody was the daughter of the late Nelson and Fannie Fergu son Howell of Waynesville and was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. , . Funeral services were held In Rose Chapel in Knoxville, Sunday afternoon and interment was in Wbodluwn Cemetery in the same city. Surviving in addition to the hus band are two daughters, Miss Matide Moody and Mrs. Elmer W. White; five sons, Manley R., Dary, Kyle, Dewey, and Bruce Moody, all of Knoxville; two sisters, Mrs. C. R. Liner of Waynesville, and Mrs. Fannie Turpin of Whittier; two brothers, Kansas and York Howell of Whittier; 10 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
