Milk supplies are high In June so there wii!be lots of ice cream around for these desserts. Include other dairy - foods in party menus, too milk to drink (.plain or chocolatl? flavored! and cheese for sandwiches. If you're giving the youngsters luncheon s.eve a cream soup (using milk) as the first course. '. .y v If you've wondered what food values ice cream offers you'll be interested to know hat roughly speaking, a serving of lc.e cream ; (23 cup) gives you the; same nutrients you get when you drink half a glass of milk. So it's good party food and. good for family des serts, too. ' , For short storage remember to put the Ice cream carton on the' bottom shelf of the fu ezing unit in your refrigerator, Or else, empty the Ice cream into an ice tray, cover it with waxed paper or aluminum foil and keep it in the freezing unit. For very young fry choose a circus theme for the party table with clown place cards and circus riqpkins. Then for dessert serve gen erous dishes of vanilla ice ci'eam topped with balloons made of cher ries stuck1 on toothpicks. Youngsters enjoy a simple variation such as this just as fftuch as a fancy dessert. The grammar-school or teen-age set will enjoy something a little more sophisticated, than thb young fry . , ; an tee cream and m'int combination, for instance. . v.i- MINT CHOCOLATE SUNDAE Ingredients: tl square (1 ounae) unsweetened chocolate, 1 table spoon butter, 13 cup milk, 1 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons light corn syrup, Vn teaspoon salt, 3 to 4 drcps essence of peppermint, 1 quart vanilla ice cream, ' .
