Sandstone, were married in Grace
Methodist Church, Newport News,
Virginia, on Saturday. July 1, at
four o'clock in the afternoon.
The Rev. Willard Vaughn Moore,
pastor, pronounced the vows and
was assisted by Dr. Paul K. Buck
les, pastor of the First Presbyterian
Church.
Mrs. Garland F. Robeson of
Greensboro, aunt of the bride play
ed a program of nuptial music r.nj
accompanied Fredrick Tubus, mem
ber of 'The Common Glory" choir,
who sin g "O Promise Mp."
"Through The Years," and "The
Lord's prayer."
The bride, given In marriage by
her father, wore an heirloom satin
bridal gown by Jane Novick, fash
ioned with of f-the-sho'ulder neck
line; filled in tille yoke'an crush
ed fichu ' with satin rosebuds,
tight bodices tapered sleeves and
full bouffant skirt with deep tulle
ruffle cascading into an aisle-wide
train. She wore a two-tiered fing
er, tip length veil of imported illu
sion with blush veil arranged to
form a doll cap of illusion and
pearls. Sh carried a fan of im
ported illusion sprinkled with val
ley lilies and centered with a white
orchid.
Mrs. Robert L. Amsler of Wil
mington, Delaware, cousin of the
MR. and MHS. FBAXC'IS vf re married in the Boyd Memorial
Chapel at the First Methodist Church lure on June 27. Mrs. Fran
cis is the former Miss Audrey Harper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Calvin Harper of Ironton, Ohio.

ried a bouquet of white shasta
daisies and gypsophilia.
The bridesmaids wore heavenly

identical in style to that of the
honor attendant and carried bou
quets of white shasta daisies and
gypsophilia.
The flower girl wore a miniature
dress of white satin and carried a
white satin basket of rose petals.
Dr. James H. Davison of Dur
ham, brother of the bridegroom,
was best man, and the groomsmen
were Richard M. Irby, Jr. of Rich
mond, John Goodwyn .of Newport

son, Jr., brother of the bride.
A reception was held following
the ceremony at the home of the
bride's parents.
Following a wedding trip. Mr.
and Mrs. Davison will make their
home in Sandston. The bride is a
granddaughter of the late Prof,
and Mrs. E. J. Robeson of Wayncs-
Ville.
