Young People Attend Conference Nineteen young people from the Waynesville district of the Metho dist Church will register at Lake .tuiinln-:' n today for the Young ,'idult Conference, which will be in the Christian Education Building this week. Those attend ing from Haywood County are: Margaret Reece, Ann Rector, Anne Bischuff, and Kathleen Calhoun from the Waynesville Church; Lil lian Know Mcdford and Albert McCrackcn from Long's Chapel; Rua Jayne Miller and Frances Fisher from Canton; and Margaret Noland from the Crabtree Church. Betty Davis Celebrates 8th Birthday Betty Davis celebrated her eighth birthday with a party given at her home on Sulphur Springs Road, Saturday afternoon, She was assisted in entertaining by her mother, Mrs. Grover L. Murphy. received only 50 voles in the city's primary election for mayor, he published a notice thanking his friends "for knowingly wasting their voles." He also advised them to be more care ful with their ballots in the election. Ray To Address Aliens Creek Folk Charles Ray will be the speaker nt the Aliens Creek Community Development program Thursday night at 7:30. The meeting will be held in the school, with Rev. C. L.
