attended Waynesville Township
High School, Florida Stale College
for Women and was graduated
from the University of North Car
olina at Chapel Hill. She held a
position in the state division of the
American Cancer Society and dur
ing the past year has been engaged
in research in cancer detection' al

Mr. Hall attended the University
of North Carolina and was gradu
ated from Western Carolina Teach

Family Picnic
The August meeting of the Lake
side Home Demonstration Club was '
held in the form of a family pic
nic at the home of Mrs. J. S.
Harriell last Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Hardy Liner,' president, pre
sided. During the business session the
members made plans to participate
in the local Flower Show and in
the Dress Revue to be held In
Cullowhee on August 22.
Special guests for the meeting
included Miss Ruth Foster and
Mrs. Donald Robinson of Washing
ton County, Iowa.
