The 15-minute program will tell the history of the North Carolina Board of Public Welfare and the services it offers. On Sunday night, the combined choirs of (he four churches will present the annual Christmas Cantata. It will start at 7:30 p.m. with Mrs. Fred Martin of the First Meth odist Church Choir directing. The Waynesville Secretaries' As sociation and the Waynesville Jun ior Chamber of Commerce, in co operation with tH'e Baptist, Metho dist, Episcopal, and Presbyterian Churches of Waynesville, are cam paigning to bring Christmas cheer to the community's needy families. In a joint announcement in con nection with the Christmas Cheer campaign, Charlie Woodard, presi dent of the Junior Chamber, and Miss Mary Medford, president of the Waynesville Secretaries' Asso ciation, said: "We have a long list of needy families in this community, so anything you can bring in (Sun day af Lei noon at the church) will be appreciated.
