There are 33 men out all of which are veterans Irom last fall's team. Mo't of thee boys are ex pected to be on band next fall. The Cat footballers will sorely miss the services of 22 lettermen who will graduate this spring and 8 others who are already in the armed services. The material on hand, however, should be of such strength 'that a respectable team can be built around them. Backfield men out are: Mack Bowman. EIrno Neal, Tommy Young. Fred Henry, Tommy Sei zor, Paul Rogers, Bob Cunningham, James Washburn, B. T. Wright, Jerry Moore, Charlie Womack, Ronald McLean, Jackie Harwell, and Wavne Woody. This left an GPen date which wUl possibly be filled by Guilford, the only remaining Conference team that we arc not playing. The Catawba Indians, after not playing the Catamounts in any sport lor three years, will meet (he Cats in a football game in Ashe villc which will highlight the sea son.
