Patsy Ruth is seventeen years old and Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Clark who reside at Green Hill In Canton. Patsy's ;ttractivenes and per sonality won her the honor of be ing a sponsor for the Western Squad at the Optimist Bowl foot ball game. held in Asheville in De cember of last year. From the looks of her schedule of subjects for this year one might gather that her ambition is to be a stenographer or mayDe a sec retary. Her subjects are English IV, Bookkeeping, History IV, and Office Practice. Among her favorite hobbies we find that she likes to play the piano and likes all kinds of music, and also dancing. In her sophomore year at Can ton High, Patsy Ruth was selected as the "Best Citizen" of that year. That year she was also secretary of her class. This year she is again filling the post as secretary of the senior class. She just seems to have a knack for being a secretary in various organizations. She is also secretary of the Stu dent Council and secretary of the Dramatics Club. Besides being a member of the Dramatics Club we find her in the Beta Club, the Glee Club, and the v ' i ..... .rt ?..;: -svsv:.:.s:i TATSY RUTH CLARK ! Music Club. I She is quite active in her church i work. She serves as Assistant secre tary of the Sunday School, and is past president of the YWA. Membership in the ' National j Beta Society is one of the honors we find that has been bestowed upon Patsy Ruth. Abo she is honored to have been a Junior Marshall. - Not so long ago, she attended the State Student Council Con vention in Charlotte. Next year you will probably find Putsy Ruth down in Greensboro at Woman's College where she plans to enter school next fall. Patsy Ruth is certainly going to make somebody a good secretary, and she certainly has had a lot of experience along that line!
