Hardin on August 19, was presented a white Bible by the Young Woman's Auxiliary of the Clyde Baptist Church on Mon day evening. The lovely candlelight fervice was held In trie sanctuary j of the church which was decorated in the YWA colors of green and , white. . ... I Prior to the ceremony a program 1 of wedding music was presented by ; Mrs W. C. Chapman, organist.1 Miss Betty Joyce Morgan, YWA president, introduced Mrs. Claude Biown who made a talk on "the Cliirstian Home" following selec tions of Scripture and poetry lead by members of the Auxiliary. The i barge was delivered by Mrs. Sid ney Haynes, YWA Counsellor, after which Miss Leanna Harris sang "Bless This House," by Brahe. The members of the Auxiliary, holding white candles entwined with ivy, furmed a circle around Miss And' u-son vihile Mrs. Roy R. Benefit Party Brings $68.50 For Civic Work The benefit card party held by the Art Department of the Waynes ville Woman's Club netted $68.50 fo the club's fund for civic pro jects, according to a report from Mrs. W. Sherrod McCall, chairman of the sponsoring group. The party was held Wednesday afternoon in the home of Mrs. Mc Call with twelve tables in play. Mrs. Carl Mundy won the land scape which was donated by Mr. McCall as the grand prize. Mr .and Mrs. Ottoway Burton of Ashboro were guests of the form er's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.
