A fellow of the American Guild of Organists, Prof. Daniel is serv ing his fourth season as director of Teachers College and the minister of music at Central Presbyterian Church, Mohtclair. N. Waynesville Gets Boost From Miami Professor Illustrated Lecture Well Attended And Well Received More than 500 people attended the illustrated lecture given Mon day night in the courthouse by Park Naturalist, Arthur Stupka, of the Great Smoky Mountains Na tional Park. The talk, titled "Along Great Smokies Trails," took the enthral led audience off the highways of the park, and, by means of koda ehrome slides, showed them sights seldom seen by the average tour ist, Indeed it was estimated that should a person, in good physical condition, devote an entire summer to the job, he would Still not have time to cover half the ground or see half the scenes shown in the, 11 hour lecture. . Waynesville received a gracious compliment the other day in a let ter to The Mountaineer signed "Dr. Fred M. Zorbaugh, Professor of Sociology, University of Miami." Th letter stated that Dr. and Mrs. Zorbaugh came to the Great Smokies in a search "for a site which would meet our discriminat ing requirements for a summer home," They came "Armed with government maps and 'inside dope' furnished by Park officials and forestry experts at Duke Univer sity." Two weeks "of discourage ment and constant search" went by before they arrived in Waynesville.
