Calif., is David G, Lin-1 er, seaman recruit, USN. son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Liner of Route 1, Waynesville. Earl F. Lanning. seaman apprentice, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Lanning of Clyde, got a good look at old Mauna Loa a frequently active volcano. The Rochester's crew visited Kilousa Crater in Hawaii National Park located on the slopes of Mauna Loa about 30 miles from Hilo. They stood at the foot of the 700-foot deep Are pit and took pic tures of steam vapors rising from gaping holes in the hardened-lava. Scoutmasters Hold Talks At Canton Rev. L. E. Mabry of Canton, chairman of -the Pigeon River Dis trict of the Boy Scouts of America, presided at a meeting of Scout masters of the area at the First Methodist church in Canton. Attending were Harry N. Math ews, Pack 1, Canton; W. G. Dover, Troop 2 .Waynesville;, H. D. Pres ley, Troop 15, Canton; Robert M. Satterfield, Troop 12, Bethel; F, E.
