Zachanas, performing his duties in the
temple, beheld an angel of the Lord, and
was told that he and his wife, Elizabeth,
a childless couple, would have a son,
and his name should be .John.
An angel also appeared to Mary, Eliza
beth's cousin, who revealed to her that
she should have a son, and His name
should be Jesus. Mary, wondering and
rejoicing, went to , her cousin to tell
her. the news.
