Herman of Tampa. Fla.. and the late Mrs. Herman. She was married Monday in Greenville, S. C. Mrs. Stringfield Entertains At Coffee Hours Mrs. Thomas Stringfield enter tained Tuesday morning with the last in a series of three coffee hours given in honor of Mrs. James King Stringfield. The hostess and honor guest greeted the callers and Mrs. L. K. Barber presided at the coffee table. Mrs. Thomas Campbell received at the entrance to the dining room and Miss Linda Sloan assisted in serving. The table was covered with a lace cloth and was centered with an arrangement of butterfly bush, shaster daisies, and lavender glad ioli with lavender candles. Florida, arrived at their home here this week after a two-months trip abroad. Mr. and Mrs. Ames were in Lon don for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth and afterward made a cruise of the Mediterranean, visit ing twelve counties. They will spend the remainder of the summer here. Mrs. Parrish Speaks Primrose Garden Club Mrs. M. M. Parrish of Lake Jun aluska and Gainesville, Fla.. was the guest speaker at a luncheon meeting of the Primrose Garden Club Tuesday in the home of Mrs. Ted Meyer. Mrs. Parrish discussed and dem onstrated flawer arrangements. Mrs. R. L. McKittrick presided during the business hour and plans were made for club projects. ? * * Mrs. Fullbright Is Hostess For Club Mrs. George Fullbright was hostess for a meeting of the Rog ers Cove Home Demonstration Club Monday afternoon. Mrs. Guy Fullbright gave the lemonstration on Laundry Meth >ds and Mrs. Horace Crawford, 'amily life leader, gave a report. Mrs. Gudger Hipps presided luring the business hour and plans vere made for the annual picnic neeting to be held in August at home of Mrs. Guy Fullbright. Use the Want Ads for results MYF Will Have Activity Week At Waynesville Youth Activity Week will be ob served by the youth Fellowship of the First Methodist Church with special programs beginning Sun day night and continuing through Wednesday, July 29. The program theme will be "God In Our Lives". The activiteis will begin with a banquet for all young people of the 'Church Sunday night at 6 o'clock. The banquet will be fol lowed by a talk by the Rev. James Coleman, pastor of the Shady Grove Methodist charge on "How Does One Acquire Religious Ex perience?" The worship service will be conducted by Linda Sloan, president of the youth Fellowship. On the other evenings the pro gram will begin at 7:30 o'clock. Monday night the Rev. George Starr, pastor of the Central Meth odist Church at Clyde, will lead a discussion on "Choosing The Right Companion". Gene Fowinkle will conduct the worship and Stanford Massie will be in charge of recre ation following the discussion. Tuesday's program will open with a devotional conducted by George Dewey Stovall after which the evening will be devoted to folk games and recreation, directed by Walter Cowart, recreational direc tor of Canton Central Methodist. On the closing night Miss Ann Bischoff will lead the devotions af ter which a communion service will be conducted by the Rev. J. E. Yountz and the Rev. W. Jackson Hunneycutt. The young people of the church are invited to bring their parents and friends to all of the programs. * * ? Red Cross Sponsors Entertainment For Hospital Patients * The Haywood Chapter of the American Red Cross sponsored a recreation program for patients at Moore General Hospital Wednes day night. Representing the chap ter were Mrs. Charles McDarris, executive secretary; Mrs. Felix Stovall, chairman of the Grey Ladies; and Miss Louise Francis. Refreshments were served to 109 patients with ice cream furnished by Pet Dairy and cakes donated by the Grey Ladies. A dance was held with members of the Junior Woman's Club of Asheville as guests. ? * * Fairview CDP To Meet On Mondoy The Faitwiew Community De velopment group will meet Mon day, June 27, at the recreation building at the Piedmont Hotel with Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Wor sham as hosts. British Isle Girl Scouts To Spend Night Here Two Girl Scouts from the British Isles will spend tonight here as guests of Adora Lea Prevost at thg home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Prevost. The girls are with a group of eiught Girl Scouts from the Brit ish Isles making a short visit to this section as guests of the Pisgah Girl Scout Council. Taking in the Craftsman's Fair and as much mountain scenery as a 24-hour tour will permit, the visitors are spending tonight in homes in Buncombe County, Can ton and Waynesville.
