Jehovah's Witnesses Return From New York The WaynesviUe delegation Of Jehovah's Witnesses to "the Hew World Assembly in New York City has jusf returned with glowing re ports of "the most interesting, educational and inspiring meetings they have ever had." Highlight of the Assembly to the twenty Waynesville members was a public lecture by Nathan H. Knorr, President of the Society. Some 91,000 attended at Yankee Stadium and literally thousands of others were able to hear his words by direct wire in over-Bow tents, and at a trailer and tent "city" set up by Witnesses in New Jer sey. Some interesting statistics came out of the massive meetings be tween which Witnesses and hun dreds of other attendants were served at improvised cafeterias. "There was no waiting to get your dinner or supper," reported one local Witness. Meals were served at the rate of 18 a minute in each of 37 serving lines. 100,000 pounds of beef were used; 16,000 pounds Of flsh; 140.000 tons of staples: 375.000 bottles of milk; 3.000.000 cold drinks; 800.000 sandwiches; 53,200 pies; 7.000 pounds of tur key for one Sunday dinner.
