A rising junior at the University of North Carolina, Miss Carter is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Carter, year round residents at the lake. She was elected by Methodists of more than a dozen states in attendance at Junaluska, winning over three other candidates in a spirited campaign. The runner-up, Miss Lucy Neeley, Columbia, S.
