Decembr 16. at 9 p.m. For her marriage the bride wore a light blue suit with navy hat and a corsage of white carnations After the ceremony the couple left for a wedding trip and are now residing in Waynesville. Mrs. Reece is employed at Day ton Rubber Company. Mr. Reece is a member of the Police Depart ment of Waynesville. * * * Mrs. Dan Cross Entertains With An Informal Tea Mrs. Dan Cross entertained with in informal tea Sunday afternoon in her home on Pigeon Street as a courtesy to Mrs. William G. Austin of Mt. Carmel, California, who is the guest of Mr. and' Mrs. John Ferguson. Traditional Christmas decora tions were used and the tea table was centered with an arrangement of holly and candles. \ Assisting were Kathryn Cross, daughter of the hostess, Gail Camlin, and Mrs. Carlton ^Holt. Around thirty guests called dur ing the designated hours. Miss Queen Announces Wedding Plans Miss Donna Jo Queen, daughter of R. G. Queen and the lata Mrs. G. W. Mooney, has announced the plans for her marriage to William McBride. son of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. McBride of Waynesville. The ceremony will take place December 26, at 4 p.m. in the Waynesville Presbyterian Church. The pastor, the Rev. Malcolm Wil liamson, will perform the cere mony. The bride will be given in mar riage by her father and will have : as bridesmaids Miss Barbara j Teague and Miss Betty Ann How ell. Gerald Mooney will be best man and ushers will be Ben Winchester and Johnny Patterson. After the ceremony, Mrs. W. L. Lampkin, grandmother of the bride, will entertain with a recep tion in the reception room of the church. No formal invitations are being issued but all friends and relatives of the couple are asked to attend. * ? * Bride - Elect Is Honored At Luncheon ' Miss Donna Jo Queen, bride elect of William McBridge, was honored at a luncheon and mis cellaneous shower given by Mrs. Hugh Potts Thursday afternoon at The Towne House. The Ho gans are former residents of Waynesville. Sylvia was chosen to represent her Brownie Scout Troop, from the Ft. Secretaries Have Christmas Meeting The Waynesville Chapter of the National Secretaries Association held its annual Christmas party at a dinner meeting at the Towne House last Wednesday evening. Miss Jimmie Watts presided and introduced the Rev. James H. Cole man. pastor of Shady Grove Metho dist Charge, who spoke on "The True Meaning of Christmas."
