Feeling much better than 1 had a few minutes before, 1 took the piece of paper, climbed up on the platform again, grabbed hold of the ropes and stooped over in or der to pass through. And I'll be dog-goned If every single one of thoee pins didn't pop out. That chap in the dress ing room might have been all right as sn attendant of prfos ? fighters but ss s pants,p1nner sure was a flop. Anyway, there I was, in sn even more embarrassing position than I had been before Some of those pin-points were altogether too close for comfort. However, so far as the general public was concerned, nobody seemed to have observed my pre dicament. They're split from stem to nigral" And then another guy, sitting close by the first chump, took up the cry. In a moment or two, all of the front rows were making un appreciated remarks about my raiment. Unappreciated so far as I was concerned anyway. I don't know of anything that is more embarrassing than to be standing on a raised platform, directly underneath a powerful electric light, and have a bunch of fools calling the attention of the world at large to the fact that your patns are split. I don't know of any person?man or woman? who would appreciate it.
