J Franklin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harkin Franklin, Rt. 2, Waynes ville, has been re-assigned to the Far East Command due to the world wide lnactivation of the Avi- j y ation Engineer Force of which he , ( was a member. Prior to this re assignment. Franklin was a member p of the 136th Engineer Aviation e Brigade located at Beale Air Force t Base, Calif. J While stationed at Beale with J the 136th Brigade, Sgt* Franklin acted as Field First Sergeant for Headquarters Company and as Ad- u mlnlstratlve Supervisor in the En- j glneering Section for a period of j, thirteen months. Franklin answered a radio :ail for volunteers to work on the 5th Street Bridge approach to Yuba Sity. Upon arrival, he found utter ronfusion and many men merely standing by awaiting valid instruc ions.
