Swim Classes At Jurialuska Begin Monday Swimming lessons at the Lake Junaluska pool will begin Mon day, June 25, according to Wallace Martin, director of recreation for the assembly. Classes will begin < at 9 and run ubtil 10:30 each morn ing. During this time the pool will : be closed to the public. I The swimming course will offer classes for beginning swimmers, ' intermediate swimmers, and jun- I ior and senior life saving if enough 1 people request them. The course 1 will satisfy both boy and girl scout requirements for merit badges, and < Rod Cross certificates will be Is sued at the completion of the COUKO. Each student must have a min imum of ten hours of class instruc tion during each two-week course. A course begins anew every two weeks; this procedure will be fol lowed until the first of September. Preference for the swimming courses will be given to people who were enrolled last year. Per sons living off the assembly grounds ? in Waynesville, Hazel- ' wood and surrounding areas?are invited to participate in the pro gram. which will be under the sup ervision of qualified Red Cross In structors. Lieut, and Mrs. Ho gan will leave Friday for a tour through Florida, but Sylvia and Sara Kay will remain with their grandmother until their parents re turn. Bill Martin Bonne Is spending two weeks with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Boone, after which he will return to Lake City, Fla., where he is attending a Forest' Ranger school. . Mrs, Merle Ousley, of Saeramen-' to, Calif., was the guest of her brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Cosbey Frady recently. Miss Sara Boone, a student at Appalachian Teachers College, at Boone spent last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Boone. ? Harold Haney is a surgical pati ent in the Haywood County Hos pital. R. H.
