Mrs Isley is a graduate of Can ton High School. She attended Mars Hill College and Western Carolina College, and is now en rolled at Blanton's Business Col lege. Mr. Isley was graduated from Black. Mountain High School, and has served four years in the U. S. Navy. The wedding is planned for September 15. Miss Martha Jean Kelly Weds Robert Earl Devlin Miss Martha Jean Kelly, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Rbbert R. Kel ly of Canton, became the bride of Robert Earl Devlin, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Devlin, also of Can ton. Friday, June 29. at 7:30 p.m. in the Morning Star Methodist Church. The Rev. Kenneth D. Crouse, I pastor of'the church, performed the ceremony. A program of wed ding music was presented by Mrs. Robert Spurling of Canton, organ ist, and Hugh K Terrell, Jr., of Bethel, vocalist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of import ed lace and net over satin. The fitted bodice featured a sweet heart neckline and shirred sleeves. The bouffant skirt, worn over hoops, was designed with four tiers of net flowing into a short train. She wore mitts of match ing lace. Her lace cap, attached to a finger-tip veil of illusion, was trimmed with ruffled tulle and seed pearls. She carried a white Bible, a gift of her parents, covered with white gardenias, showered with baby's breath and streamers. Her only ornament was a single strand of pearls, gift of the bridegroom. Miss Sue Kelly, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a waltz length gown of green dotted swiss ov<Tr taffeta and a matching picture hat. She carried a nosegay of mixed summer flow ers. Bridesmaids were Miss Shirley Devlin sister of the bridegroom, of Canton, Miss Caroline Cody and Miss Ann Smathers, cousins of the bride, and Mrs. Carleson Hipps of Canton. They wore lavender dotted swiss dresses and hats and carried nosegays. Flower girls were Miss Diana Jaynes and Miss Loretta Smath ers, cousins of the bride. They wore pink dresses fashioned with four tiered skirts and puffed sleeves. They carried baskets of j rose petals. Jack Devlin served as his broth , er's best man. Ushers were Larue Amos. Bill Branson, Joe Bill Mcd lin, and Carleson Hipps, all of Canton. Following the ceremony a recep tion was held at the home of the bride's parents. Those assisting were: Mrs. YV. L. Kelly, Mrs. A. A. Cody, Mrs. David Boone, Miss Patricia Kelly, Mrs. Stanley Isley, and Mrs. Phillip Carter. After the reception the couple left for a wedding trip. For travel ing the bride wore an aqua cotton dress with white accessories and the yorsage from her Bible. Mrs. Devlin was graduated from Bethel High School and attended Western Carolina College. She is employed in the Time Office of the Champion Paper & Fibre Com , pany in Canton. Mr. Devlin, a graduate of Can ton High School, served four years in the U. S. Navy. He is employ ed by the American Enka Corpora tion. The couple will make their home on Trammell Ave. in Can ton. * * V Mr. and Mrs. Warren Kelley have returned to their home in Fairfax. J., niece of the bride, junior bridesmaid. Mr. Mills served as best man for his son. Ushers were Chester Aewton of Fort Worth, Texas.
