C Law rence Leather Co. and elected vice president of Swift & Com pany. succeeding Harold N. Good speed, who is retiring. Mr. Nectow started in the leather industry in 1914 with Gut terman Strauss & Company. In 1925 he established and became manager of a finders' cutting de partment for England Walton & Company, a partially-owned sub sidiary of the A. C. Lawrence Leather Co., and six years later he was elevated to Vice President and Director of that firm. In 1931, England Walton was pur chased. outright by the A. C. Law rence Leather Co., which expand ed the Sole Leather Division of that company, and he became Gen eral Manager of that division. Two years later, England Walton & Company was dissolved and be camAail of A. C. Lawrence Leat^Pco.. and he was elected a Vice President of the A, C. Law rence Leather Co., in charge of the Sole and Belting Leather Division. Mr. Nectow became a Director of the company in 1936. and in 1952 was named Executive Vice President. An acre of >ach will be seeded after silage ?orn has been harvested. Dr. Reeves got interested in res ?ue grass from some growing ibout the barns. He says cattle graze it in preference to all other vinter crops on the farm. Rescue grass is used primarily as a winter ?over crop. It is a good reseeder. if a seed crop is allowed to mature.
