She had undergone surgery three weeks ago. Miss Louise Johnston was a member of the faeulty of the Fayetteville city school and spent her vacations with her sister. She was a frequent visitor here dur ing the years her sister was con nected with the library Mis* Mar garet Johnston moved to Rocking ham County this spring. Funeral services were held in Greensboro Friday afternoon. Miss Margaret Johnston is the only survivor. ion. is a member of Company K of the division's 188th Regiment. Kjigland, opened a four-day series of lectures this morning at the Lake Junaluska ! Methodist Assembly. ? He will speak at 11 a m. through Thursday in the main auditorium. A graduate of Camuridge Uni versity. the Kev. Mr. Shearer is a former president of the British Methodist Conference, an elective position comparable to president of the denomination, and is widely known as one of England's most forceful preachers. He recently visited British mili tary forces in Malaya, and has just completed a tour of Methodist mission stations in India and olfier points in the Far East.
