Miss Blalock Is Bride Of Donald Rice Mr. and Mrs J. Howell Blalock ; p! Canton have announced the < marriage of their daughter, Joann ' Pritchard. to Donald /ade Rice, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Z. Rice of Mars Hill. The double ring ceremony was ' t>? rformed by the Rev. Frank Smathers in his heme at Lake Ji.naluska. Monday, Aug. 20. at 4 p.m.. with members of the tm- j mediate families present. Mrs. Max Smathers, cousin of I the only attendant. Mrs. Riee attended Mars Hill College, and was graduated from Memorial Mission Hospital School of Nursing. She did post gradu- j ate work at Polyclinic Hospital in New York City. Presently she is h member of the nursing itaff of Memorial Mission Hospital. Mr. Rice attended Warren Wil son College, and was employed by the American Knka Corporation before entering the U. S. Air Force. He is now stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. After the ceremony the couple 1 lelt for a wedding trip through eastern North Carolina and Vir ginia. . * ?
