Camlin of Lake Junaluska. recently won two distinct honors within
the same week at Western Carolina College.
She was notified of her selection for Who's Who Among Students
in American Colleges and Universities, and was elected May Queen
In a student election In this latter capacity she will lead a court
of girls voted most beautiful from their respective classes, and will
reign over May Day festivities next spring.
Dean W. B Ilarrill said students are selected for Who's Who on
the basis of scholarship, leadership, citizenship, and effective participa
tion in. campus activities.
Miss Camlin is a member of the college chorus; Future Teachers
of America; Association for Childhood Education; Marshal's Club;
and the Student Senate. She is vice president of Woman's House Gov
ernment,
In addition to numerous other beauty honors# Miss Camlin has
been a member of the May Court at Western Carolina College each
year since she entered college, and has been in the Homecoming
Court for the past three years.
