Dayton, Brevard College Meet At WTHS Toniqht With the familiar sounds of football almost over independent basketball makes its debut for the season tonight at the Waynesville High Gym. The Dayton Kubber Company Thorobreds and Brevard Junior College meet for an exhibition game that is expected to bring some '.ne basketball to the area. Both teams are testing their strength before regular season play begins. Noble Arrington and Bob Bran non, in charge of the Thorobreds, expect this gaifie to give some indi cation of the strength this year. Arrington said. "We have some of the finest basketball players in this area but we are Wondering if they have had enough time to practice together. After tonight's game, we can tell if the Thanksgiv ing holidays will have to be spent in practice." Brannon pointed out, "Being an independent team, we cannot prac tic^^k much as a college.
