C()OIERATION Of Buvers Helna To ' Make This Leading Market In Southeast By B. F. McJ'olmaii, Jr. vFalson, June 13. - Faison is now one of the leadir.s Truck markets Irt the Eastern pari of North Caro lina. Heavy shipments of beans and nthAr nraduce have rolled North I frcm here both by rail and trucks since tho opening of the Auction Market the -early part of May. Prices have been high and it may be said that this is the first truck season in the past few years that the farmers of Duplin- and sur rounding counties have realized far more for their commodities than the cost of production. The peak of bean shipments from Faison was reached so far ' this current season when 1616 (hampers of beans were auctioned off hare on June 4th. On May 27th $1.72 1-2 and as low as .&. ao far as total shipments of hampers are concerned up to June 6th 104, 566 baskets of beans have been brought to the local market. Farmers came from as far aa Jacksonville near tne coasi io new ton Grove near Fayettevllle; aa far north as Goldsboro and south as Burgaw near Wilmington with trucks, and MARKET to the Show. r . . . ....
